SHEAR SHARPENING PROCESS
CLEANING PROCESS
#1 - Check all cutting utensils efficiently with a magnifying glass
to determine the integrity of each blade.
#2 - Multiple tests using wet & dry materials to determine sharpness.
#3 - Before and after pictures will be sent to clients.
#4 - Soak tools in our ultrasonic cleaning machine with soap/water & jewelry cleaner.
#5 - Once all tools are properly disinfected we then proceed
to determine which tools necessary for the sharpening process.
SHARPENING PROCESS
#1 - Remove screw & washer to separate each blade.
#2 - 3 different kinds of whetstones including Fine, Medium, Coarse,
& also our double sided diamond-cut whetstone
#3 - we then sharpen using a Flat honing machine that work best for both Convex & Beveled and left handed shears.
#5 - We then put the shears back together & replace or fix any missing or broken parts.
#6 - Test shears with wig/extension hair, wet & dry
to make sure everything cuts perfectly!
KNIFE SHARPENING PROCESS
#1 - before and after pictures of cutting tools will be sent to client.
#2 - We then use our magnifying glass to efficiantly check for any chips, scratches or broken bits.
#3 - Multiple tests using wet & dry materials will be done to determine sharpness.
#4 - All large cutting tools are disinfected using rubbing alcohol and our ultra sonic cleaner.
#5 - We then determine what equiptment is needed for the sharpening process.
KNIFE SHARPENING EQUIPTMENT
#1 - We use 3 different kinds of whetstones
- Fine
- Medium
- Coarse
- Double sided Diamond cut
#2 - 1x30 Sander belt including our leather strop & buffer wheel.
- 5” disc sander
- Stone Grindr
#3 - Flat Honing machine for precision angle sharpening.
#4 - ALL Knives and cutting tools are disinfected,
buffered & shined to perfection before being delivered back to client.
